IKEA Press Release
I was given parameters to complete a press release for IKEA in a hypothetical scenario. The release was to be written in a traditional press release format with the details given to me by my professor.
Butterball Press Release
I was tasked with writing a press release for Butterball Turkey about their Turkey Talk line. The release details the contact information for the Turkey Talk line, other resources that can be found on the Butterball website, and news channels I would pitch to.
Skydeck Pie in the Sky Pitch
Skydeck Chicago holds nighttime dining experiences from the 103rd or 99th floors. In this pitch, I use National Pizza Month as the angle to pitch to Chicago based journalists about the Pie in the Sky event.

Social Media Content
I have worked in social media for a majority of my professional career. What started as an extracurricular position at my college's fashion club quickly turned into a full time job. My first job outside of my university was with a startup coffee brand called a|dash where I created Tiktoks and Instagram content for their brand. This moved into a fellowship with the Charleston Wine + Food Festival where I not only media pitched to journalists but also created social content for their official Instagram and Tiktok pages during the festival. Recently, I have been working as a content creator for Dr. John Kim, a board certified plastic surgeon with Northwestern Hospital. I manage all of his platforms including Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter, and Youtube.
Economic Club of Chicago Pitch
My team was asked by the Economic Club of Chicago to come up with a campaign to engage members, as their participation had been decreasing in recent years. We conducted a thorough SWOT analysis by talking with several club members and visiting the club offices. We pitched a points value system, student partnership, and nonprofit partnerships.
Chicago Bears Insights Presentation
After researching insights on the Chicago Bears fan base, my team then collaborated to come up with a campaign to engage untapped demographics. Our method targeted students in Chicago with a student pass to Bears games and college nights. We presented our campaign to Micaeh Johnson, the Director of Corporate Communications for the Chicago Bears.
Research
Chicago Bears Research Report
My team developed a research plan for the Chicago Bears to gain insights on their fan base. We then aimed to understand the question: “to what extent does the Chicago Bears fan experience impact overall brand perception?” With our findings we then created a campaign to engage forgotten demographics within the Bears community.
AI in Advertising Research Study
My group reached out to qualifying participants to ask them questions about the use of AI in the communications industry as well as academia. We were collecting data over the course of 3 months and organizing it into SPSS to gather insights on the overall thoughts and applications industry professionals were utilizing regarding AI.
Marijuana in Advertising Lab Reflection
I spent 3 months working on an advertising study alongside Professor Tony Deng. In this research we showed participants two different marijuana advertisements and measured their responses to each. To measure responses we used EMG facial sensors and an electrocardiogram (ECG) to measure heart rate. Working in this study taught me about IRB certification and protocols when conducting a study with live participants.
